Review Process
Proposals are reviewed by a Faculty Review Panel (FRP) selected by the Associate Dean for Research, in Consultation with the Research Advisory Committee (RAC).

Review Materials
The following forms are used during the review process:
Review Schedule
September | Initial meeting of the review panel. |
September | PI proposal submission deadline. |
September-October | Review packets are distributed to the reviewers assigned to each proposal. |
November | All reviews are due from the reviewers to prepare for the review session. |
November-December | Review session to discuss, evaluate, and rank proposals. |
January | Funding decisions are announced to all applicants. |
March | PIs with approved proposals requiring Biological Safety, Animal Care, and Human Subjects protocol approvals should begin preparing and submitting the necessary forms. |
April | Current Research Information System (CRIS) forms are set-up for all approved proposals and completion is requested from PIs. |
July-August | New projects are set-up and finalized funding decisions are made. |
September | PIs will be notified of project numbers and budget. |
October | New projects begin. |
